Function

The job of a pipefitter includes the following aspects:

- Reading and interpreting technical drawings to determine the correct pipes, materials, and methods.

- Prefabricating pipe sections: cutting, bending, welding, and soldering pipes and other components to prepare them for installation.

- Assembling and connecting piping: installing the prefabricated pipe sections in the correct position, using various connection methods such as welding, soldering, or threading.

- Testing and inspecting systems: after installation, testing the pipes for leak-tightness, pressure, and safety.

- Maintenance and repair: performing maintenance on existing piping and systems, such as replacing components or repairing leaks.

- Working at heights and/or in complex environments, e.g. tank construction or on-site piping.

- Strong safety awareness for both your colleagues and yourself.

- A focus on solutions rather than problems.

Profile

​

- You have at least 2 years of practical work experience, or equivalent through other relevant experience.

- You are willing to work both in the workshop (Schenkeldijk, Ekeren) and on-site (mainly in the Port of Antwerp).

- You consider safety and quality important and strictly follow the required procedures.

- Core competencies: accurate || independent || flexible || team player

- Language skills: basic Dutch and/or English and/or French

European Welding BV (abbreviated: EUROWELD) is a welding company located in the Port of Antwerp.
It has been active for more than 25 years and relies on a loyal team of employees, complemented by subcontractors.

Thanks to many years of experience, EUROWELD is highly familiar with industrial and petrochemical piping on the one hand, and with various custom-made constructions on the other.

EUROWELD’s activities include both work performed in its own workshop and work carried out on-site for clients.

Since 2024, EUROWELD also has its own coating and blasting department at the same port location.
